Hydraulic Structure on CR364 in Berdorf

Hydrology

Following the heavy rainfall on June 1st, which led to the partial destruction of the CR364 at the location known as “Predegstull,” a new hydraulic structure was designed. This was achieved using a hydrological model coupled with a 2D simulation of surface flow on the road in case of failure of the structure.

  • Contracting authority Administration des Ponts et Chaussées / Administration de la Gestion de l’Eau

  • Etude 2018 – 2019

  • Construction 2019

Key features

  • Topographic survey

  • Hydraulic design of the structure

  • Modeling and simulation of surface runoff in case of structural failure

  • Bill of quantities / tender schedule

Our missions

  • Peak flow > 4 m³/s (25-year return period)

  • Total length: 50 m

  • 2D modeling of surface flow

  • Constructed in cast-in-place reinforced concrete in a U-shaped profile with a base of rock blocks
