The EMERALD building was constructed using certified wood and non-polluting materials.
A highly efficient heating, cooling, and ventilation system, photovoltaic installations, rainwater use, solar protection, and light control minimize the building’s carbon footprint.
EMERALD features a centralized monitoring and control system to collect and analyze consumption data and ensure efficient and environmentally friendly energy use throughout the building’s life cycle.
This building consists of 4 basement levels accommodating parking and 4 above-ground levels, characterized by a hybrid wood-concrete structure maximizing occupant well-being, energy and environmental quality of the envelope, as well as construction speed.
EMERALD is the first “Zero Carbon” certified construction project in the BENELUX based on the criteria of the International Future Living Institute.
