The headquarters of LSC360 and LSC Engineering Group was recognised at COP30 for its sustainable and intelligent approach to construction.

It is a wonderful recognition of Luxembourgish engineering expertise: the headquarters of LSC360 and LSC Engineering Group in Contern was honoured by the jury in the “Smart Building” category at the Green Solutions Awards 2024-2025, which were presented at COP30 in Brazil.
This is a powerful symbol for this building, but also for the entire group, whose commitment to sustainability has thus been recognised at an international level.

An international award for a 100% Luxembourg project

The Green Solutions Awards are organised by the Construction21 network in collaboration with GlobalABC (under the auspices of the United Nations Environment Programme), the French Ministry for Ecological Transition and ADEME, and each year recognise the most innovative and replicable buildings in the areas of carbon neutrality, climate resilience and energy efficiency.
Among the projects from around the world, the LSC360 headquarters is the only Luxembourg representative to receive an award.

A building designed for longevity and further development

The simple, modular and energy-efficient LSC360 headquarters is much more than just a workplace: it is a showcase project for sustainable engineering.
It consists of a mixed timber-concrete construction and a façade made of modular, demountable elements, and was designed from the outset to be reusable, adaptable and circular.

The DGNB and BREEAM-certified building achieves energy efficiency class A, thanks in particular to reversible heat pumps, photovoltaic modules for self-consumption and intelligent management of technical systems.
The use of bio-based materials such as sheep’s wool for insulation illustrates the constant pursuit of a balance between performance and responsibility.

The Green Solutions Awards jury highlighted:

“A holistic approach focused on sustainability: multiple certifications, energy efficiency, smart building, cradle-to-cradle materials and a clear commitment to the future reuse of the building.”

A collaborative and local design

The building is the result of close collaboration between Jonas Architectes and engineers from LSC360, BSC and Géoconseils, and was created using an integrated design approach that combines architecture, technology and sustainability.
Every decision, from natural lighting to the simplicity of the materials, aims to create a space that is efficient, comfortable and inspiring for its users.

“This building embodies our vision: making the complex simple, combining expertise and shaping a more sustainable future. The recognition at COP30 is a source of collective pride and proof that our 360° approach is bearing fruit.”

COP30: a crucial moment for the climate and sustainable construction

COP30, taking place this year in Belém, Brazil, brings together the signatory states of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This important global event brings together heads of state, experts, companies and international organisations to accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement and strengthen commitments on carbon neutrality, adaptation and climate finance.

Against this backdrop, the presentation of the Green Solutions Awards on the sidelines of COP30 takes on a very special significance: it puts the spotlight on concrete projects that translate climate goals into tangible and replicable successes. The award in the GlobalABC’s “Buildings & Cooling” pavilion is international recognition for LSC360 of its commitment to sustainable engineering and its role as a Luxembourg player actively contributing to global ecological change.

Luxembourg excellence on the world stage

This award confirms Luxembourg’s place among the players most committed to ecological change.
By combining innovation, circular economy and building intelligence, LSC360 demonstrates that it is possible to develop projects with a positive impact that are reproducible and economically viable.

The headquarters thus becomes a model of sustainable engineering, combining simple design, advanced technology and flexibility of use, reflecting the expertise and values of LSC360.
