New Administrative Building “Allegra”

Allegra is the new headquarters of the company CDCL, located in Leudelange in the Am Bann business park.

This innovative building is designed according to the CREE system, a hybrid construction method combining prefabricated concrete and timber elements.

The project consists of two offset volumes connected by a vertical circulation core. It includes three underground levels for parking and four above-ground levels housing offices, a multipurpose room and a fitness area. Covered terraces complete the architectural concept through a series of cantilevered elements.

The CREE system is based on a central concrete core that ensures the overall structural stability, around which factory-prefabricated timber-concrete modules are assembled. Each module, including the external cladding, insulation, internal wall and window, is transported to the site and rapidly installed using a crane. This approach allows for faster, cleaner and better-controlled construction while limiting disruptions caused by weather conditions.

In addition to its structural qualities, Allegra integrates sustainable technologies such as intelligent building management to optimise energy consumption, geothermal heat pumps for heating, and a photovoltaic installation producing approximately 27,000 kWh per year.

Certified BREEAM “Very Good” and compliant with the Nearly Zero Energy Building (nZEB) standard, the building stands out for its energy performance and environmental responsibility.

  • Contracting authority LEE IMMO S.A

  • Etude 2018-2020

  • Construction 2020-2021

Key features

  • 11,600 m² of floor area

  • Administrative building with hybrid wood-concrete floors, wooden columns, metal columns and beams, rigid central core, and reinforced concrete basement

  • First implementation in Luxembourg of the CREE system developed by the Austrian Rhomberg Group

  • Three basement levels with Berlin walls up to 11 m high

  • Strict construction phasing: installation of all CREE modular elements only after completion of the concrete core (8 days per floor)

Our missions

  • Definition and design of the structure

  • Preliminary studies: sizing of load-bearing elements and inventory of loads

  • Calculation of load transfer

  • Preliminary sizing of wooden bracing stability supports

  • Execution plans (formwork and reinforcement)

  • General assembly plans of the CREE slabs

  • Structural coordination of the CREE elements with the main concrete works

  • Review of workshop drawings for the CREE elements

  • Participation in design and site meetings

  • Inspection and acceptance of reinforcements on site
