Flood Protection Concept

In Echternach, the two streams “Lauterbuererbaach” and “Letschbaach” have repeatedly caused floods in the past. For this reason, the municipality of Echternach commissioned the development of a protection concept as well as the planning of measures to reduce the risk of flooding. The streams, including all bridges and footbridges, were surveyed topographically and modeled using hydraulic simulation. This made it possible to propose project-specific measures aimed at reducing the risks.
