The K2A project is a 2.3 km extension of the tram line in Luxembourg, aimed at improving access to the Kirchberg plateau. It starts at the Rout Bréck – Pafendall station and follows Konrad Adenauer Boulevard, with three new stations planned: Wehrer, European School and Laangfur.
This extension will serve key institutions such as the EIB, the European Commission, the European School and the future Michel Lucius secondary school. The project includes sustainable features such as a green tram platform, the planting of 400 trees and the creation of 15,000 m² of green spaces. It also integrates cycle paths and widened sidewalks. K2A is the first phase of a broader development towards the future Kirchberg districts (K2B and K2C).
