Master Plan « Kayl Nord »

As part of the Sectoral Master Plan “Housing,” a site located north of the municipality of Kayl was identified as a priority residential area. This designation entails the provision of land primarily for housing while integrating commercial, artisanal, and cultural activities, as well as various public services and facilities.

The “Kayl Nord” master plan covers approximately 25 hectares and aims to meet the growing housing demand while providing a harmonious and sustainable living environment. The project adopts an integrated approach to urban development, promoting social and functional diversity, optimized mobility, and coherent management of public and natural spaces.

Key objectives include:

• Creation of approximately 1,500 housing units, accommodating up to 3,300 new residents

• Balanced distribution between private and public spaces

• Efficient road network structuring and traffic management to minimize impacts on the existing network

• Careful landscape integration in the northern part of the site for a smooth transition between built and natural areas

The “Kayl Nord” project establishes the foundation for coherent, sustainable, and attractive urban development for future residents.
