In 2021, the municipality of Bissen launched a competition for the redevelopment of the “Place de l’Immigration” in Bissen. The planning area (1.51 ha) is bordered to the north by a busy main road and to the south by the Attert River. Currently, the square is mainly used as a public parking lot.
In the future, an attractive, green, and multifunctional village square is planned. The team presented a varied and verdant layout, with different uses and open architecture, which integrates harmoniously into the historic center of Bissen village. The final result convinced the jury, and the team received the special jury prize.
