Environmental Procedures Technical Assistance for the Municipality of Wincrange

Natural environment

The regulatory framework of environmental procedures in Luxembourg has evolved continuously in recent years and will be subject to further adaptations in the future. In this context, depending on the planning levels and projects, it can be complex to adopt the appropriate procedural approach and to commission the required studies.

In this context, the Municipality of Wincrange has called upon LSC360, accredited in the environmental sector, for technical assistance in order to respond quickly in case of questions or specific assignments.

General environmental technical assistance
• Assessment of municipal projects and indication of the environmental procedures to be considered
• Feasibility studies

Assistance regarding Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA/SUP) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
• Description of the different procedural steps
• Clarification of any additional studies that may be required

Preparation of SEA exemption requests
• Drafting of the exemption request letter with justification

Preparation of tree-felling requests
• Identification of trees to be felled and the need for compensation

Preparation of nature protection permit applications
• Assessment of impacts on biotopes, species, and protected areas
• Preparation of the ecological report
• Planning of necessary mitigation and compensation measures

NATURA 2000 Assessments
• Evaluation of potential impacts

Advice and planning of CEF measures
• Assistance in identifying suitable compensation sites and implementing measures
