Groundbreaking ceremony for the Kirchberg tramway

On Friday 16 May, work officially began on the new K2A section of the tramway on Boulevard Konrad Adenauer, in the presence of Yuriko Backes, Minister for Mobility and Public Works, Lydie Polfer, Mayor of Luxembourg City, Patrick Goldschmidt, Alderman in charge of mobility, and Helge Dorstewitz, Managing Director of Luxtram S.A..

📐 LSC360 is acting as project manager on this major project, as part of the 𝗘𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗺 temporary association, which is already working on the Kirchberg – Station section, alongside Egis, Paul Wurth Geprolux, Beng Architectes Associés and Felgen & Associés Engineering SA.

Our teams are involved in numerous tasks:
🔹 Traffic, mobility and signalling studies
🔹 Roads, roundabouts, dry and wet networks
🔹 Engineering structures, earthworks, structural work
🔹 Administrative procedures (felling, road permits, commodo)
🔹 Monitoring and management of works

This new 2.3 km section also includes a complete redevelopment of the public space, with the 𝙘𝙧𝙚́𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙙’𝙪𝙣 𝙖𝙭𝙚 𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚́, 𝙫𝙚́𝙜𝙚́𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙚́ 𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚́ 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙡𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙚́ 𝙙𝙤𝙪𝙘𝙚, comprising a central platform surrounded by more than 𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘀.

📆 Opening date: scheduled to open on 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲́𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳, all the way to the European School!
